About the Chicago Urban Choir

Thank you for visiting our page!  You maybe here because you like the TV show Glee, or the High School Musical movies, or maybe just interested in singing.

Here is information about the Children's Choir...

What we are not / will not have:

• Sue Sylvester demeaning you and your friends
• Have slushies thrown in your face (unless you really really really want it)
• Deal with hypocritical self-righteous team captain (sorry, Quinn fans!)
• Drama due to divas wanting the spotlight

What we are about:

• diversity
• safety
• spirituality

We meet in two locations in the city of Chicago

South: Chatham Fields Lutheran Church, 8050 S. St. Lawrence, Chicago IL 60619
North: Tabor Lutheran Church, Chicago IL

Katie Stam, Miss America 2009, is supporting the work of the Chicago Urban Children's Choir. Ms. Stam connected to the Children's Choir through her work and dedication to the Lutheran Church. The choir touches her heart in particular, with her personal and family background in music, and her desire to help children, especially in the city.

The Chicago Urban Children's Choir is sponsored by the Chicago Urban Missions of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.
